Description

Fern Cottage is a building originally dating from the 15th century, designed as a hall house with cross wings at both the north and south ends. Currently, only the south cross wing remains, featuring exposed timber-framing. The cottage is two storeys high and has small casement windows. The ground storey includes a 20th-century bay that has a tiled roof, which extends over the doorway to create a porch. The roof is covered with 20th-century pantiles. Inside, the cottage retains its exposed timber-framing.
