Description
The Old Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 17th century. It features a plastered timber frame and has a steeply pitched roof made of Belgium tiles with gabled ends. The building includes brick stacks at the axial and gable ends. The layout consists of three rooms and it is one storey high with an attic.
The west front has an asymmetrical arrangement of three windows, which are 19th or 20th century two-light casements with glazing bars. To the left of the center, there is a large gabled half-dormer that also has a similar casement and a sun fire insurance plaque. The doorway, located to the left of the center, features a 20th century plank door.
At the rear, there are one and two-light casements, two roof lights, and a small gabled dormer on the left. The doorway to the left has been enclosed by a large 20th century conservatory. The interior has not been inspected.
