Description

41-43 Prentice Street is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely originating from the 15th to 16th century, though it has been altered later. There may have been another cross wing at the east end, which is now replaced by the 19th-century house at No 40. The roof is tiled. The cross wing at the west end has two storeys, while the main block is one storey with attics. It features casement windows, including one old leaded casement and several mainly modern ones. There is one oriel bay and three doorways that are accessed by steps from the pavement. The front also has two gabled dormers and a ridge chimney stack.
