38 and 39 Prentice Street is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof and a central ridge chimney stack. It is positioned at right angles to the road, featuring a gable end facing Prentice Street. The upper storey has exposed timber-framing. The building has two storeys and includes small casement windows with leaded lights, as well as two gabled dormers on the west front.
