Description

Box Cottage is a 15th-16th century timber-framed and plastered building located on Lavenham’s Prentice Street. The building was formerly numbers 21 and 22. The timber framing is exposed on the front and the east end, and the roof is tiled with old tiles. It is two storeys high, with the upper storey jettied on the front, supported by exposed joists. The front elevation features two windows with leaded casements.
