Description

TM 1640 WHERSTEAD WHERSTEAD PARK 6/33 Tombchest approximately 15 metres north west of Church of St Mary GV II Tomb chest. Mid C18 for Sparrow family. Red brick and terracotta base, stone slab. Moulded brick panels with angle and central fluted pilasters with frieze and cornice. Inscription on slab illegible at time of resurvey. Reverend F Barham Zincke, Some materials for the History of Wherstead. 1887 p.98.
