Description

This chest tomb, dated 1668, is located one metre south of the vestry of the Church of St Mary and St John in Lamyatt. It is made of dressed stone and features a sunken plinth. The oblong chest consists of four massive stone slabs, and the frieze has a decayed inscription. The top slab is moulded around the lower edge.
