Description

The Manor House is an early 18th-century farmhouse, later altered and now used as a house. It is constructed of rubble with a 20th-century tile roof, coped verges, and brick stacks, arranged in an L-shape. The three-bay garden front is two storeys high, featuring three-light stone mullioned windows with drips. Each light contains a 20th-century casement. A central door opening has a moulded stone architrave, containing paired three-quarter glazed 20th-century doors, and a 20th-century slab hood with a moulded edge resting on cut-stone brackets. Some 19th-century casements are present on the rear elevation, which faces the roadside. Inside, a late medieval stone fireplace with a moulded surround has been reused, as has a fragment of a moulded medieval stone jamb, located to the right of the ground floor room (a photograph of this is held by the National Monument Record).
