TM 1540 WHERSTEAD THE STREET (North side) 5/29 Garden Cottage 1-3-72 GV II Cottage. C18. Red brick in Flemish bond, plain tile roof. Single storey and attic 2-cell plan. Central door flanked by casements under segmental arches. Gabled dormers with casements and bargeboards. Swept roof, end stacks. Disused at time of resurvey.
