Description

Rose Cottage is an 18th-century cottage with later alterations. It is constructed of painted brick, with a pantile roof. The cottage has a three-cell lobby-entry plan, with a range to the rear forming a T-shape. It is a single-story building with an attic. A half-glazed door from the 20th century is set within a segment-arched surround, flanked by casement windows; the window to the right is beneath a segmental arch, and the window to the left has a flat arch. A further 20th-century casement window sits under a soldier arch to the far left. There are two flat dormers, each with a small-paned casement window. An off-centre ridge stack is also present. The interior features a chamfered beam with ogee stops.
