Description

Ores Barn Cottage is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building located at right angles to Thorington Street. It features a jettied upper storey at the gable end on the north side and also jetties at the south end of the east front. The north gable is supported by four curved brackets with moulded capitals. The cottage has two storeys and is fitted with casement windows. The roof is tiled and includes a central chimney stack. On the west front, there is a large external chimney stack with tabled offsets, which has been rebuilt above the eaves level.
