Description

The garden wall and gates to Thorington Hall, located on Thorington Street in Stoke-by-Nayland, is a significant structure dating from the 17th century. The wall is made of massive red brick and runs along the south-east front of the property. It features 18th-century gate piers topped with ball finials, although the gates themselves are modern. The wall is approximately 7 feet high and has a wide weathered cap adorned with brick dentils. Additionally, a later wall extends along the north-east side in Mill Lane.
