Description

Nos 23 and 24 on Market Hill are two adjoining buildings dating from 1692, likely refronted in the 18th century and altered in the late 19th century. They are constructed of yellow brick and stand two storeys high, featuring tiled roofs and two large square-headed dormers. The buildings have a three-window range with sash windows set in stucco cases. The wide eaves are supported by grouped brackets. There is a lead rainwater head and fall. The ground floor has a continuous painted wood or stucco front for the shop, with central double doors. All the listed buildings on the south side of Market Hill form a group.
