Description

The Church of St Peter, located on Market Hill in Sudbury, is primarily a 15th-century Perpendicular style building, dating from around 1485. It features a notable west tower and was originally topped with a copper spire, which was erected in 1850 but removed during repairs in 1969. The church is constructed from flint and rubble, with stone dressings, and underwent restoration in 1854. Inside, there is a fine nave roof from around 1685 that is panelled in blue and gold, along with impressive screens, a rood canopy, and stalls.
