Description

15 and 16 Market Hill is a building that possibly dates back to the 17th century. It has two storeys and attics, with a timber frame and plastered exterior, and tiled roofs. The front of the building, which is made of late 18th century red brick, features a parapet and a modillion cornice. There are four sash windows, although the ground floor has a modern shop front. The building also has large modern dormers, and part of the roof has been rebuilt. It serves as both a house and a shop. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 22 Market Hill, the Black Boy Hotel, and the Town Hall.
