Description

Number 9 Market Hill is a building dating from 1692, located on the north side of Market Hill. It features an early 19th century front with three storeys and three windows, constructed of yellow brick with a painted floor band. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat arches. The building has a wide eaves cornice supported by triple brackets and is covered with a slate roof. This property is included for its group value, as it is part of a collection that includes Nos 1 to 6 and 8 to 22, the Black Boy Hotel, and the Town Hall.
