Description

No. 30 Market Hill is a large 18th-century building that retains most of its original external features. It has three storeys and cellars, with a red brick front that includes a parapet and a cornice that returns along the east and west sides. The roof is a treble span, hipped on the east and west, and covered with tiles. The front façade features a range of five sash windows with glazing bars, and there is a central splay bay above a pedimented Ionic porch. The ground floor has an enlarged modern bank window in place of two original windows on the right. All the listed buildings on the south side of Market Hill form a group.
