Description

9 King Street is a building dating from 1692, located on the north side of King Street. It is an early 19th-century, two-storey structure with three windows, constructed of yellow brick. The building features gauged flat arches, as well as segmental and semi-circular arches at the ground floor. The windows and entrance are recessed, and there is a four-panel door with a patterned fanlight. The former shop front has a wooden case that has been altered, with an entrance positioned to the right. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 11 and the Bear Hotel.
