Description

No. 6 King Street is a building from 1692, located on the north side of the street. It is a 2-storey structure with a stucco-painted exterior and a high tiled mansard roof. The building has a later brick gabled end wall and features a wooden flat bracket eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are two sash windows, which now only have central glazing bars. The early 19th-century shop front includes a wooden case, although some glazing bars have been removed, and it has a central entrance flanked by pilasters. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 11 and the Bear Hotel.
