Description

Nos. 2 and 3, Shilling Street are a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, with a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high. The upper storey is jettied along the entire front, and the ground storey retains traces of panel pargeting. There are four window bays on the front, with one double-hung sash window on the ground storey. The door to No. 2 has six upper panels and a large lower panel featuring a diagonal cross design. An external chimney stack is located at the south end of the building.
