Description

The Stables is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Polstead Street in Stoke-by-Nayland. Originally an outhouse, it was renovated and restored as a house in 1974, revealing exposed timber-framing. The building has two storeys. The upper storey features two early 19th-century Gothic arched windows and a central casement window. The ground storey includes 20th-century mullioned windows designed in the original style, along with a central doorway. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles.
