Description

The Black Horse Inn is a timber-framed and plastered building from the 16th to 17th century, designed in an L-shaped plan with wings extending to the south and west. The south wing features exposed timber framing and a jettied upper storey on the west front. It has two storeys and a three-window range with casements that have leaded lights. The west wing has a two-window range. The roof is tiled and includes a gambrel roof at the south end. Although the interior was renovated in the 20th century, it still retains some original moulded ceiling beams and joists.
