Description
The Angel Inn is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building that has been largely refronted in 18th century red brick. The upper storey at the north end of the east front used to be jettied, while the ground storey has been built out in brick. Originally, the building was designed in an L-shaped plan, but there are now modern additions at the rear. It stands two storeys tall and features a six-window range on the east front, with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The ground storey has three-light windows. The roof is tiled and has a modillion eaves cornice on the southern part.
