Description

Assur is an 18th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Polstead Street in Stoke-by-Nayland. It is designed on a T-shaped plan and has been renovated and altered in the 20th century. The house is one storey high with attics. The north-west corner has been cut away and splayed, with the roof supported on a post. It features 20th-century casement windows with lattice leaded lights. The roof is covered with old tiles and has two gabled dormers.
