Description
Gads Hill is a building located on Polstead Street in Stoke-by-Nayland. The current structure consists of a two-storey house from the 18th to 19th century at the southern end and a range of 18th century timber-framed and plastered cottages to the north, which are one storey with attics. The southern house has been refaced in brick and features a two-window arrangement with double-hung sash windows that have single vertical glazing bars in flush cased frames. There is a central doorway with a 20th-century door, and the roof is tiled with end chimney stacks. The northern cottages have casement windows with leaded lights and one horizontal sliding sash window. Their roofs are also tiled and include three dormer windows.
