This is a 19th-century cast iron pump located in front of and approximately 7 metres east of Maltings House. It features a banded stem, a fluted head with a finial, a fluted spout that includes a bucket hook, and a curved handle with a pear-shaped end. The pump has a label that reads "Appleby, Manchester."
