Description

This is a pair of icehouses located approximately 30 yards to the northwest of the stables at Shotesham Park. They were probably built in 1797 by Sir John Soane. The icehouses are constructed of brick and have an ovoid shape, covered by earthen mounds. Only one of the original vaulted access passages remains intact.
