Description
Walnut Tree Cottage is a former lodge cottage dating from the early 19th century. It features a roughcast and colourwashed exterior with a hipped thatched roof and is 1½ storeys tall. The south facade, facing the road, is symmetrical and includes two Gothic-headed casement windows with two lights and 'Y' tracery glazing bars. There is a central pointed and battened door, with a central dormer above that has a Gothic 2-light casement window. A central chimney stack is present. The east and west walls each have one ground floor casement and one attic casement, with the attic window set in a swept dormer. There are later pantiled and slated lean-tos on the north and north-east sides.
