Description
White House Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of colourwashed brick and flint, with the front wall rendered. It features a black glazed pantile roof and is two storeys high with attics, following a lobby entrance plan. The symmetrical facade has five bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars and architraves. The central doorway is adorned with fluted pilasters, paterae, and a dentilled cornice, and it has a six-panelled door with raised and fielded panels. There are two dormers featuring 3-light casements and shallow pitched roofs. The gables are parapeted with continuous tumbling-in, and there is a red brick axial chimney stack. At the rear, there are later pantiled lean-to structures. Additionally, at the south-east corner, there is an attached red brick garden wall that has a dentil course below a half round coping and shallow buttresses on the south face.
