Description

Trinity Cottage is a 17th-century timber-frame house, with later alterations. The front is rendered, while the gable end is constructed of brick and flint, and it has a brick plinth. The roof is covered with pantiles. Originally a three-cell lobby entrance house, a mid-20th century extension was added to the rear. It is a single-storey building with an attic. Windows are scattered across the facade, mostly featuring 19th-century casements. The gable exhibits crow stepped detailing with a 20th-century chimney stack. An axial chimney stack, also from the 20th century, is located off-centre. The roof is modern, but steeply pitched. The interior retains a complete set of principal beams with joists. A surviving trimmer indicates the original positions of a chimney and staircase. The beams feature simple jewelled chamfer stops.
