Description

No. 104 on The Street is a former public house known as the Swan, dating from the 17th century. The building features walls that are part brick and flint, as well as part rendered timber frame, topped with a pantiled roof. It has a lobby entrance with an off-centre axial stack. The windows are scattered, including one original window that has a plain chamfered central mullion, while the other windows are from the 20th century. An irregular buttress on the facade is associated with a former stairway that led to a blocked original entrance opposite the stack. The street facade also displays decorative tie-ends. The rear facade is mainly from the 20th century.
