Description
The Willows is a late 18th or early 19th century cottage situated in Seething Brooke. The building is constructed of clay lump and has a thatched roof. It originally comprised two rooms, with a 20th-century porch added to the rear. The front facade is regular, with two bays and two storeys. A brick plinth runs along the base of the building. The ground floor has two 12-pane casement windows with Gothic glazing bars, and a plank door is located to the left. Above, there are two 8-pane casement windows with matching Gothic glazing bars. A central axial stack provides ventilation and light. A sun room has been added to the ground floor of the right-hand gable wall, alongside a further 8-pane casement window to the first floor. The rear elevation features a 19th-century casement window and two ground floor and two first floor windows, with a 20th-century casement placed between them. The gable wall facing the road has been repaired, and a further 8-pane casement window is present on the first floor.
