Description

The barn at Kirstead Hall is a large structure dating from the 17th century. It is built of English bond brick and features a glazed black pantile roof. The barn has a rectangular shape with a continuous 19th-century outshut on the north side. The south face includes a large central opening, with ventilation slits located to the right. The parapet gables are adorned with moulded brick kneelers. On the east gable wall, there are three ventilation slits. Inside, the roof is supported by tie beams and collar beams, with two rows of butt purlins and curved wind braces on the south side.
