Description

This is an early 18th-century barn located on the north side of Framinghan Earl Yelverton Road. The barn is timber framed with sections of brick and weatherboarding, and has a corrugated asbestos roof. A large brick gabled transept is visible on the south side at the east end, featuring a brick gable head. The west gable has double timber doors. Later outshuts, mainly constructed of breeze blocks, project to the north and south. The main north wall incorporates brick pilaster strips and diamond-shaped ventilation panels. Inside, the barn features close-set timber studs, tie beams supported by knuckle braces, two tiers of staggered butt purlins, and cambered collars. The roof was rebuilt towards the west end; the remainder of the roof retains some curved wind braces. Boundary Farmhouse is not listed.
