Description
The Gull Inn is a public house located on Loddon Road in Framingham Pigot, dating from around 1760. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a roof made of mixed pantiles. It stands two stories tall and consists of four bays, with an additional bay extending to the north. The facade is framed by corner pilasters and has block architraves. The central entrance is set within a timber doorcase, flanked by large sash windows with glazing bars on either side. Above the right-hand sash window is the Inn sign. The first floor has four early 19th-century casement windows. The roof is hipped with a central ridge stack. The north extension includes a tall entrance with a sash window on the ground floor and a casement window on the first floor, and both the extension and the main range share a continuous roof. At the rear, there is a two-story hipped extension. The interior largely reflects a late 20th-century character, although a central fireplace remains from earlier periods.
