Description
26 The Thoroughfare is a building from the 17th century or earlier, constructed with a timber frame and featuring a steeply-pitched pantile roof with gable ends. The right-hand section has a roof that is even steeper. The exterior is finished in stucco and the building stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are two small 2-light casement windows on the right and a 4-light casement window on the left at eaves level, which is topped with a gable that has Victorian ornate barge boards, a finial, and a pendant. The ground floor has two small Victorian shop fronts, each with pilasters and entablatures that include moulded cornices.
