Description
33 The Thoroughfare is a building from the 17th century or earlier, featuring a steeply pitched gable-ended roof covered with black glazed pantiles. The front was remodeled in 1882 using grey brick, which includes a parapet topped with ball finials and an eagle above a datestone at the center. The building has two storeys. On the first floor, there are three widely spaced three-light sash windows without glazing bars, each with stone lintels that have keyblocks. The ground floor has a large late 19th-century shop front with pilasters and a cornice. At the rear, there is a 17th-century wing that is timber-framed and stuccoed, also two storeys high, featuring three-light casement windows and a gable-ended roof covered with pantiles.
