Description

29 The Thoroughfare is a building likely dating from the 16th century. It has a timber frame and features a steeply pitched roof covered with black glazed pantiles and gabled ends. The front was re-faced in the late 19th century with red brick and includes a terracotta parapet adorned with pierced guilloche ornament. The building is two storeys high and has two windows, which are sashes without glazing bars and have stone lintels. There is a small shop from the 19th or 20th century at the corner, which has a modern canopy. The side gabled wall facing Bullock Fair is also faced with late 19th century brick and includes barge boards and a finial.
