Description
The Methodist Church, built in 1893, is a non-conformist church located on George Lane in Loddon. It features red brick and terracotta construction with a slated gable-ended roof in a Perpendicular style. The east end, which functions as the ritual west, has a central projection flanked by two tall octagonal turrets topped with ogee-domed pinnacles. Between the turrets is a large five-light Perpendicular window, with an ogee-headed moulded brick doorway beneath it. On either side of the projection are single-light, three-centred arch-headed windows. The side walls contain four tall two-light, three-centred arch-headed windows, separated by buttresses. To the southeast along the road, there is a low area wall adorned with ornate cast iron railings and gates, featuring an ogee-shaped overthrow.
