Description
The former Town Hall, now used as commercial premises, was built in 1870 and is designed in the Jacobean style. It features red brick construction and slate roofs. The front range is a single storey with two Dutch gables that have finials. On either side of the central moulded round-arched doorway, which is flanked by brick pilasters, are large moulded brick bay windows with leaded panes. Behind the front range is a large hall that has a Dutch gable end and a steep slated roof, which is adorned with two lanterns and round-headed side windows.
