Description
The King's Head Public House is a public house located at No. 16 Bridge Street in Loddon. The southern part of the building dates from the 17th century and features a painted brick ground floor with plaster above. It has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys high. On this section, there is one window, which is an old three-light casement with glazing bars, and a 20th-century glazed door on the left. A rebuilt brick chimney stack is present.
The northern end of the building, which was constructed in the late 18th or early 19th century, is made of brick that is partly rendered and painted. It has brick dentil eaves and a pantile roof with coped gable ends. This section also has two widely spaced windows, both old three-light casements, and a six-light casement on the first floor to the left. The central entrance features a 20th-century glazed door with a rectangular fanlight above it, and there is a brick chimney stack over the gable end.
