Description

The remains of an Anchorite House, part of the Whitefriars monastery, date back to the mid-14th century. The structure features a stone arch set within the remains of a wall made of flint and brick, which includes three orders of mouldings and an attached shaft. The monastery itself was founded by Philip de Cougate around 1256.
