The building has an L-shaped plan with a projecting stair turret and is built against a precinct wall. It has two storeys plus attics, with a door located in the west facade. There is a well-crafted timber door surround in the outbuildings to the west of the house, showcasing Renaissance detail.
The north facade consists of two bays and features sash windows throughout, complete with glazing bars, and includes two Dutch gables. The right-hand bay is an 18th-century addition. The east facade has three irregularly spaced first-floor windows, with the stair turret and a parallel block at the extreme left. There are two large sash windows with glazing bars and side lights, along with a 20th-century casement and a mullion and transom window to the left, with sash windows above. The stair turret includes mullion and transom windows and two small Dutch gables. Inside, there is a 17th-century staircase in the turret, a fireplace with moulded jambs and bases in the west room, and good 18th-century library fittings.
