Description
Manor House is a Grade II* listed building dating from 1578, located on the south-west side of Bracondale. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and features a brick chimney at the rear. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range that includes a projecting central bay and rusticated brick quoins. The entrance is a 20th-century plank door set within a moulded brick Tudor arch. A moulded string course runs along the building, and the windows are three-light wooden mullioned and transomed types, some with brick hood moulds or pediments. The eaves cornice is elaborately moulded.
The projecting wing has three Dutch gables, with two similar gables flanking the main facade, and there is an inscription "RAE" on the tablet in the centre gable. Lead rainwater heads are marked "RAE/1656". To the left, there is a two-storey gable-fronted extension in a similar style, which has one blind window and a two-window range on its left side.
