Description
No. 26 Princes Street is a house, now used as an office, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features a rendered facade and a brick gable end on the right, with tumbling above small kneelers. The building has a pantiled roof and is two storeys high with an attic. On the first floor, there are two windows and a jetty. The door to the right has four raised and fielded panels, along with an overlight that has rectilinear glazing bars. The panelled reveals are flanked by fluted Doric half-columns that support a dentilled hood. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there is a dormer with a low-pitched roof. Additionally, there is a ground-floor bull's-eye window with radial glazing bars on the side elevation, and the adjoining property, No. 1 Tombland Alley, is accessed through this building.
