Description
Nos. 27 to 29 on St Augustine's Street are two-storey buildings that were originally built in the late 19th century. They feature a timber frame that has been refaced, with the first floor clad in red brick, while No. 27 is rendered. The buildings have a pantile roof with a stack on the southeast gable. There are three bays, with 19th-century shop fronts on the ground floor and sash windows above. Inside, the ground and first floor ceilings have chamfered tie beams. The stack stairs are located away from the street, and there are 18th-century extensions at the rear. The original use of the buildings is unknown, but they are currently used as shops.
