Description

The gateway to James Stuart Gardens, built in 1922 by E. Boardman, serves as both a gateway and garden office. It is constructed from red brick and stone, topped with a pantile roof, and is a single-storey structure. The office features two 2-light casement windows, which are set beneath a semi-elliptical moulded stone arch with a keystone on the left side. Above the arch is a round pediment that displays a shield surrounded by scrolls and flanked by festoons. The gateway is further enhanced by festooned stone corner pilasters and a fascia that reads "The James Stuart Garden." Wrought-iron gates are included, along with a stringcourse and parapet above the office.
