Description
24 Gentleman's Walk is a former house that now serves as the entrance to a shopping arcade. It was built in the mid-19th century, with the ground floor redesigned in the early 20th century by G. Skipper. The building is rendered, and its roof is not visible. It has four storeys and two bays. The ground floor features an arcade with a double-entry, showcasing rusticated semi-circular arches on tapering polygonal columns. There is a shop window in the left side arch. The first floor has French windows flanked by fluted Ionic pilasters and columns, which support an architrave and balconies with iron-work railings. The second floor includes tall casement windows with a balcony supported on brackets, a pulvinated frieze, and a flat hood supported on consoles. The third floor has additional casement windows, and the building is topped with a parapet.
