The rear elevation, in Clare Street, has a pantile roof hipped to the right; flat brick arches over 8/8-pane sash windows on first floor; ground floor remodelled in late C19 has granite columns with Corinthian columns to moulded fascia over plate-glass shop windows. INTERIOR: the shops in the arcade are articulated by narrow paired pilasters on simulated granite plinths; moulded cornices to fascias; plate-glass windows, including those to rear, have narrow horizontal bands of pierced cast-iron to tops and are panelled below; doors are glazed, with horizontal moulded panels to bases and have plain overlights.
