Description
No. 12 High Street is a shop that dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built from painted Flemish-bond brick and features stone coping, a cornice, and window cills. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a single-window range. The parapet is crenellated, with raised sections at the corners that have moulded coping above a fine cornice that returns to the right. The building has slightly cambered arches over both 3/6-pane sash windows. A 20th-century shop front is located below. The unusual crenellated parapet adds an almost Gothic design element to the facade. The interior has not been inspected.
